Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of Signals, the programmable telephony infrastructure from PressOne. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan or placing traffic on the platform, you agree to them. If you are entering into an enterprise agreement, that agreement prevails over these terms where the two differ.

1. The service

What Signals provides.

Signals is programmable telephony infrastructure: a Calls API (Programmable Voice, Twilio compatible), SIP Access (managed SIP trunking), Omni (enterprise voice integration) and Automations (event-triggered call workflows). The service is live in Nigeria and connects software and AI to people across Nigerian phone networks.

Telecommunications services are delivered under an NCC licence. Signals is a connectivity and programmability layer; you remain responsible for the purpose, content and lawfulness of the calls your applications place.

The contracting entity for the service is identified in your order form, subscription confirmation or enterprise agreement.

2. Accounts and access

Your account.

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • Programmatic access (Developer Mode) requires full KYC verification before it is enabled.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including API keys, SIP credentials and the actions of your users.
  • Protect your credentials. Apply MFA and role-based access for your users, and tell us promptly if credentials are compromised.
  • Numbers allocated to your account must be used by the account that holds them; access may not be resold or shared outside your organisation without written agreement.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the acceptable use policy.

3. Acceptable use

The traffic the platform carries.

Signals is shared infrastructure, and the acceptable use policy forms part of these terms. In summary:

  • Traffic must comply with Nigerian law and applicable regulation, and you are responsible for the purpose and content of your calls, including recordings and automated speech.
  • Caller-ID spoofing, harassment, fraudulent collections, unsolicited bulk voice advertising and international revenue-share fraud are prohibited.
  • Lawful debt collection, repayment reminders and borrower follow-up are supported workloads.
  • Traffic that materially degrades network quality for other customers may be restricted.
  • Accounts that breach the policy are suspended.

4. Numbers and telecom rules

Numbers and calling obligations.

  • Numbers are allocated for the duration of your subscription and remain subject to the numbering rules of the issuing provider and the regulator.
  • You may hold numbers from multiple Nigerian providers in one account and choose the originating number per call.
  • You are responsible for obtaining any consent or giving any notice required for the calls you place, including call-recording consent where your regulator requires it.
  • You must not use the service to misrepresent the origin of a call or to evade network, regulatory or law-enforcement controls.
  • We cooperate with lawful regulatory and law-enforcement requests as required by the licence under which telecommunications services are delivered.

5. Pricing and payment

Plans, rates and billing.

  • The Base plan is ₦500,000 per year excluding VAT, and includes one Nigerian phone number (mobile or standard 0201) and five simultaneous calls.
  • Calls are charged at ₦14 to ₦19.50 per minute to all Nigerian networks, VAT included, billed per second.
  • Additional numbers cost ₦15,000 or ₦25,000 monthly depending on the provider.
  • Volume pricing is available by agreement. Assisted onboarding or assisted SIP implementation requires either a contractual ₦500,000 monthly call-usage commitment or a ₦1.5 million one-time fee.
  • SIP Access is a managed service: it is provisioned after technical discovery and qualification, and a subscription does not automatically activate a SIP trunk.
  • Payments are processed through Paystack. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Enterprise arrangements are priced for the deployment and set out in the enterprise agreement.

Current public pricing is on the pricing page.

6. Service levels

How the platform is run.

  • Enterprise agreements carry a contract-backed 99.99% platform SLA with defined escalation.
  • Standard support runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. WAT on business days.
  • P1 and P2 enterprise production incidents receive 24/7 critical-incident response.
  • Planned maintenance that may affect production is notified seven days in advance; emergency changes are notified as early as reasonably possible.

Detail is on the operating model and reliability and business continuity pages.

7. Data and recordings

Where your data lives.

  • Core production voice data is hosted in Nigerian data centres. Call recordings are 100% Nigeria-hosted with no cross-border replication.
  • The Base plan includes 500 call recordings monthly and 90 days of call history and storage; enterprise agreements support configurable multi-year retention.
  • Where Signals processes personal data on your instruction, it does so as a data processor under a data processing agreement, available on request.
  • Where any cross-border processing applies (for example transactional email or website analytics), it is governed by safeguards consistent with NDPA transfer requirements.
  • You may export recordings and call data through the API or dashboard before scheduled deletion.

Detail is on the data protection and residency and security and compliance pages.

8. Liability and indemnity

Where responsibility sits.

  • You indemnify us against claims arising from the content, purpose or lawfulness of the traffic your account places, and from your breach of these terms.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of revenue or loss of data arising from use of the service.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
  • We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including upstream network failures, power events and regulatory action.

9. Changes and contact

Keeping these terms current.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes are notified to account holders in advance, and continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions about them can be sent to signals@pressone.africa.
