Why build on Signals

Build phone calls into your product on Signals.

Signals connects software and AI to people across Nigerian phone networks. Your calls go out on numbers people pick up, your code uses Twilio-compatible call control, and your bill comes in naira.

01 · Numbers

Call from numbers people pick up.

People pick up calls from mobile numbers more often than calls from 0201 numbers. On Signals, your software and AI agents call from familiar Nigerian mobile numbers, and standard 0201 numbers are there when a Lagos office line suits the workload better.

Numbers from several Nigerian providers sit in one account. You choose which number each call goes out on, and people can call you back on the same number.

The number belongs to the business, so its call history, and recordings where enabled, stay with the business rather than on a staff member’s personal line.

02 · Twilio compatible

Bring what you built on Twilio.

The Calls API mirrors Twilio’s 2010-04-01 Calls API. OneML is Signals’ call-control markup language, derived from TwiML and compatible with supported TwiML applications.

Existing integrations may need little or no change where the documented surface matches: update the base URL and credentials, then check the public compatibility matrix for documented differences.

New builds follow the same model, so the call logic your team writes for Nigeria uses patterns it can reuse in Twilio-supported markets.

03 · AI voice

Put your AI agent on a phone call.

A supported <Connect><Stream> session opens a two-way media connection between the live call and your platform, so your agent can listen and speak on the call.

  • Gather captures keypad input, speech or both, and returns the results to your application.
  • Dial bridges the call to a person when the conversation needs one.
  • Call records, and recordings where enabled, sit beside every call your agent makes.

05 · Visibility

See what the network is doing.

Every call has a record with its direction, duration and outcome. Signals also shows, in real time, how calls are performing across the networks it is connected to.

When a call path needs attention, a Nigeria-based team investigates call failures and coordinates with carriers on network quality.
